About Attorney Amy Ruiz

Attorney Amy Ruiz

She has served both as a criminal prosecutor and as a defense attorney, which gives her an unusual perspective as she defends people in criminal cases. She knows how prosecutors think – and she knows whether the plea deal they offer is a good one.

In her roles as assistant state attorney and assistant public defender, she took on thousands of criminal cases. She has handled everything from misdemeanors and traffic tickets to complex federal cases. She knows how to fight, and she cares about each client.

Ms. Ruiz also has significant experience representing injured people and, for a time, insurance companies. Representing insurance companies is a helpful background for a personal injury lawyer to have. It gives Ms. Ruiz direct insight into insurance company tactics and how to get past them.
